The Scottish Wildlife Trust are hosting a ‘Sponsored Night Walk’ at our Falls of Clyde reserve on Saturday 27 September. We would like to invite you to join us on this special sponsored walk to raise vital funds to help protect Scotland’s precious wildlife.
This local event promises to be a fun-filled challenge. We will have fire ‘pit stops’ along the way, with marshmallow toasting to give us an energy boost and refreshments at the end. There will also be a nocturnal animal trail to follow.
With two walk distances to choose from (Corra walk- 3km and Bonnington walk -5km) there should be a level for everyone. There is no cost to enter and everyone who completes the walk will receive a badge and certificate. To celebrate the Scottish Wildlife Trusts 50th birthday, individuals raising £50 or over will receive a cute cuddly badger as a thank you!
The Falls of Clyde National Nature Reserve is a remarkable place; it boasts an inspirational landscape of beautiful ancient woodlands, an abundance of rare and protected wildlife (including peregrine falcons and badgers) and – of course – spectacular waterfalls.
By taking part in the walk you will be helping protect your local wildlife and making a real difference to our conservation efforts. Friends, family and colleagues are all welcome too!
