Three more People’s Postcode Lottery Beaver Watches are taking place in June at Loch of the Lowes Visitor Centre and Wildlife Reserve near Dunkeld following two sellout events earlier this year.
The events take place on Friday 16, Saturday 24, and Wednesday 28 June. They start at 7pm, and include an illustrated talk on beavers followed by the chance to spot them from the reserve’s wildlife hide, which looks out over the scenic Perthshire loch.
Rachael Hunter, the Trust’s Perthshire Ranger, said: “Our first beaver watch events sold out quickly so we’re pleased to be able to offer more places with support from players of People’s Postcode Lottery. These events help the public discover more about these fascinating creatures, and the wide-ranging benefits that they can have on the environment around them.”
Clara Govier, Head of Charities at People’s Postcode Lottery said: “Seeing a beaver up-close is an incredibly special experience so we’re not surprised that these events are proving very popular. Our players will be delighted that their support is helping people learn more about the species.”
