Following on from our Oceans of Value project and the wider work of the Trust’s Living Seas programme, we’re delighted to launch of latest marine project, Sea the Connection.
Understanding that many people are passionate about protecting Scotland’s marine environment but don’t always know where to start, the project will empower local communities to speak up on issues such as marine planning and aquaculture through a series of workshops, specially designed programmes and an online toolkit. We’ll be delivering this work for and in partnership with up to 14 communities, representing a diverse range of audiences from across the country.
Running until October 2027, Sea the Connection aims to increase ‘ocean literacy’ throughout Scotland, empowering people to use their voice to speak up for marine wildlife. Keep an eye on our channels in the coming months for opportunities to get involved as the project develops. You can also find out more by visiting the Sea the Connection section of our website.
Sea the Connection has been generously funded by the Esmée Fairbairn Foundation.
