The Scottish Wildlife Trust is hosting pop-up People’s Postcode Lottery Dipper Watch events at Falls of Clyde Wildlife Reserve this summer. The free events run from 10am – 2pm on Sundays until 21 August.
Members of the public can visit at any time to find out more about the amazing species that reside on the River Clyde, including otters, dippers and kingfishers. Telescopes and binoculars will be set up a short distance from the reserve entrance, giving people the best chance to see the wildlife that makes an appearance.
Clare Toner, Clyde Valley Ranger, Scottish Wildlife Trust said: “These free pop-up events are a great way to learn about the remarkable range of wildlife found both on and in the River Clyde as it passes through Falls of Clyde Wildlife Reserve.
Thank to the support of players of People’s Postcode Lottery, we’re expecting to introduce hundreds of people to the amazing species that can be seen if you stop to watch the water for a few minutes.
“While we can’t guarantee that everyone will spot an otter, we can promise that people will go away having learned just how important this stretch of ancient river woodland is for nature.”
These free events are supported by players of People’s Postcode Lottery. For more information visit scottishwildlifetrust.org.uk/events
