Farewell to famous Lowes osprey

The Scottish Wildlife Trust can reveal that our world famous breeding osprey, affectionately known as Lady, has now left our reserve at Loch of the Lowes. She has returned for an incredible 21 years so far and we hope she will be back next year.

This year her eggs did not hatch, but analysis showed that they were fertile. If she returns next year, she could give birth to her 50th chick at Loch of the Lowes, an incredible achievement. Her story has excited thousands of people across the world who watched her and her mate on our webcam.

But, as the star of the show has left the stage, we have switched our Loch of the Lowes webcam to show the bird feeder station.

We want our webcams to continue to show you all the action from Loch of the Lowes and we hope you’ll enjoy watching a range of birds at the feeders, including woodpeckers and siskins. If you’re lucky, you might also spot a red squirrel, a pine marten or even a red deer.

View our live webcam from Loch of the Lowes now.
