As well being a Scottish Wildlife Trust Ambassador, Gordon Buchanan is likely Scotland’s best-known wildlife cameraman. In his first book, In the Hide, Gordon recounts stories from a lifetime spent getting up close and personal with wildlife.

  1. The prize draw is organised by the Scottish Wildlife Trust, a Scottish registered charity.
  2. The prize draw is open to all members of the Scottish Wildlife Trust aged 18 or over, excluding employees of the Scottish Wildlife Trust and their immediate families.
  3. Entry is free, and no purchase is necessary. To enter, participants must complete the online form above. Only one entry per member is permitted.
  4. The competition closes at midnight on 30 April 2025. Entries received after this date will not be included.
  5. The prize consists of one signed copy of In the Hide by Gordon Buchanan, published by Witness Books. The prize is non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash or any alternative.
  6. The winner will be selected at random from all eligible entries. The draw will take place in May 2025.
  7. The winner will be contacted via email/phone within 7 days of the draw. If the winner does not respond within 14 days, a new winner will be selected.
  8. Personal data provided will only be used for the administration of this prize draw and will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Notice.
  9. The promoter reserves the right to cancel, suspend, or amend the prize draw and these terms where necessary. The decision of the promoter is final, and no correspondence will be entered into.
