The first egg is here!
Exciting news, the first osprey egg of the season has been laid this evening! The female stood up at 7:10pm to reveal the mottled egg and within a few minutes the male returned to the nest to investigate. There was a bit of a squabble about who would incubate but the female has now settled on the egg and the male is keeping guard.
