Our online competition to find the Lost Species of Scotland, with exclusive prizes to be won, has just begun!
The new competition is inspired by Disney • Pixar’s animated film, Brave, and will run until the film’s general release on Friday 3 August. Brave is set in a mythical Scotland and includes long lost wildlife such as the brown bear. This is just one of the species that you can find hidden on the Scottish Wildlife Trust website. They will move around every day this week; if you find a Lost Species, just click on it to be in with a chance of winning.*

There is a Brave-inspired goodie-bag plus a complimentary Watch membership of the Scottish Wildlife Trust to be won every day for finding the Lost Species of Scotland. At the end of the week, one lucky entrant will win tickets for a family of 4 to see the new film Brave plus a real-life bow and arrow to make them a true wildlife adventurer! They will also receive a complimentary Family membership of the Scottish Wildlife Trust. |
The lost species seen in Brave were once a well known part of the Scottish landscape but for many reasons they have long since disappeared from these shores, giving us the landscape we see in Scotland today. But the beaver is one example of a species that has been brought back to Scotland after hundreds of years away, in a project led by the Scottish Wildlife Trust and the Royal Zoological Society of Scotland.
