Botany outing to Gight Wood

Discover the woodland and riverside plants at Gight Wood Scottish Wildlife Trust reserve.

We will examine the diverse flora visible from the circular walk round the hillside reserve, including the floodplain of the River Ythan. Please see the Trust's website for more information of the reserve and for detailed directions. Bring suitable lunch and clothing appropriate for the weather. Note that the footpath can be rough and uneven and includes some steep inclines, and may be boggy in places so please wear suitable footwear.

Meet for a 10:30 start at the car park at NJ832399 on the B9005 (What3Words ///spoke.tradition.pines). Please note that the eventbrite generated map is based on a wide-area postcode and may not be an accurate representation. Please use the grid reference, what3words or follow the directions on the Trust's website.

Children over 8 years welcome, children must be with adult. No dogs.

Booking essential. To find out more, and for any booking queries, please contact committee@swtaberdeen.org.uk. An hourly bus service is available to Methlick (transfer to the reserve can be provided, please contact the commitee email if this is requried).

Note that booking generally ends two hours prior to the event start time. If you wish to book to attend after registration has ended, and there are places still available, please contact the organiser direct using the details above.
