By partaking in any fundraising activity in aid of the Scottish Wildlife Trust you agree to comply with the below Terms and Conditions.

Your responsibilities

  • You are fundraising as an independent supporter of the Scottish Wildlife Trust. You should therefore refer to raising money ‘in aid of’ and not ‘on behalf of’ the Scottish Wildlife Trust.
  • You agree that you will comply with any reasonable lawful instruction or guidance provided by the Scottish Wildlife Trust relating to any fundraising activities you undertake.
  • You are responsible for all aspects of organising your fundraising activities including health and safety, conducting risk assessments, gaining appropriate permissions and licences, obtaining insurance (where required) and covering any costs associated with the activities.
  • Your fundraising activities will not be covered by the Scottish Wildlife Trust’s insurance.
  • If you are using an online fundraising platform hosted by a third party it is your responsibility to read their terms and conditions carefully and to be aware of any charges they make for handling your donation as you will be liable for any additional costs or charges made by the online fundraising platform.
  • If your fundraising activity involves an element of physical challenge it is your responsibility to ensure that the participants have the appropriate level of fitness, you complete health and safety risk assessments prior to the event and you ensure that a suitable level of medical support is provided to all participants and attendees.
  • You acknowledge you will be responsible for any risks of conducting your fundraising activities, including the risk of any injury, loss, harm, damage or claims resulting from your fundraising activities.
  • You will not do anything that is likely to bring the Scottish Wildlife Trust’s name or reputation into disrepute.

 

Raffles

  • If you intend to conduct a raffle as part of your fundraising activities you must adhere to all applicable UK Government, Local Authority and Gambling Commission laws and regulations and obtain all necessary licences and consents.
  • The Scottish Wildlife Trust cannot help you obtain licenses or permissions for conducting a raffle.
  • If you intend to run a raffle, this must be done so in compliance with the Fundraising Regulator’s Guidance and the Gambling Commission’s Guidance.

 

Personal Data

  • By fundraising in aid of the Scottish Wildlife Trust, you are agreeing to share your personal data with the Scottish Wildlife Trust so we are able to contact you about your fundraising activities. All personal data held by the Scottish Wildlife Trust will be processed in accordance with our Privacy Notice.
