Willow cut and coppice workshop

Get stuck in as we learn about willow and how we manage it on our wildlife reserves.

Find out how useful this natural material really is. This hands-on practical session will involve using hand tools to cut willow rods and branches. We will also take a guided walk around Garnock Floods Wildlife Reserve.

We will meet at Garnock Floods, Sandy Road, Irvine, KA12 8SP. Be prepared for some gardening type activity, wear old clothes and dress for the weather. Ages 8+. Children must be with an adult. No dogs except assistance dogs. Livestock may be present.

Booking is essential. Places are limited to a small group of 18 and therefore must be booked.

Please contact Harry Richards on 07785 468 601 or hrichards@scottishwildlifetrust.org.uk for further information and to reserve your place. (It is also important that Harry is able to contact attendees should the event have to be cancelled or to convey any changes to plan.)

Free event but donations welcome (suggested donation £2 per person). All donations help us to continue to bring an interesting and varied selection of events to our audience as well as supporting local wildlife causes. Please donate if you can.
