NC0 has arrived back at Loch of the Lowes

NC0 has returned to Loch of the Lowes for her third season here in Perthshire. She landed on the nest at 6:14pm yesterday and was soon joined by her mate, male osprey LM12.

NC0 is back on the nest!

Despite spending more than half a year living separate lives established osprey pairs quickly settle into life on the nest. Shortly after landing NC0 could be heard loudly demanding to be fed.

The pair attempted to breed early this morning, and LM12 brought a fish to the nest at around 9am.

if all goes well we should see NC0 laying her first egg in a few weeks’ time. Keep watching our webcam to avoid missing a thing!

The Osprey Protection Programme at Loch of the Lowes is supported by players of People’s Postcode Lottery.
