LM12 is back at Loch of the Lowes

We’re delighted to let you know that LM12 has returned to Loch of the Lowes for the ninth year.

LM12 touches down at Loch of the Lowes

At 15:33 this afternoon we saw him descend onto the nest, clutching a fish. This was a fairly fleeting appearance and he left after just a few seconds, pursued by two crows.

We’re sure to see him spend more time on the nest in the coming day. He’ll start to clear up and arrange the nest, in anticipation of the arrival of his mate LF15.

Please note that unfortunately there is no public access to Loch of the Lowes at this time. Our visitor centre and our hides are closed in response to Government advice on dealing with the coronavirus outbreak.

The best way to keep up to date with events at Loch of the Lowes is to follow us on Facebook and Twitter, and of course, by tuning in to the live webcam.
