LM12 has been busy!

I hope that many of you are enjoying our new HD webcam! Our new webcam and streaming equipment have been supported by a kind donation in memory of one of our long-serving volunteers.

As you may have noticed, LM12 returned on Saturday at 15:33, complete with a freshly caught fish. Since then, he has been busy finding sticks worthy of becoming part of his nest to restore it to its usual splendour. In other words – burying the grass which has been growing at a rapid rate since his departure last August!

For those of you who are keeping up to date with our osprey, you will already be aware that this is LM12’s 9th year here at Loch of the Lowes! We are keeping a keen eye on the loch in anticipation of LF15’s arrival which should be any day now. Should she make a safe return to Loch of the Lowes it will be the pairs 6th year together, having fledged 12 chicks so far.
