Egg Hatching No. 1??

Could it be that the first of our osprey eggs is beginning to hatch?

As we are now within the potential egg hatching period we are  keeping a very close eye on the female’s behaviour and doing our best to get regular close up shots of the eggs to check for any developments. The current weather is making this rather difficult and with minimal exposure time for turning eggs we have our work cut out trying to keep up with her! However at 03:31 this morning we did manage to capture this shot….

Is this the beginning of chick number 1 making an appearance? We certainly hope so!! Keep checking our webcam and blog for further updates as this story unfolds.
