Second Egg!

At just before one o’clock this morning, our female osprey’s behaviour changed as she lay in the nest. Within minutes her body could be seen pulsating and the classic egg laying give-away of her tail raising.

At 1.03am we caught the first sight of her 2nd egg!

It is a cold, calm, wet day here at Lowes but she seems peaceful while incubating her growing clutch, blissfully unaware of the cameras trained on her from the Hides.
