First egg at Loch of the Lowes
After an anxious wait, I am delighted to announce that at 12.52am this morning our female laid her first egg! After a view minutes of visible panting and contractions, she stood up to reveal a beautiful egg and immediately began tending to it.
As I type she has just settled down to incubate, tucking herself out of the wind on this rather breezy night. Please check back later for a more detailed account of the event that we’ve all been waiting for.
