A film has been produced showcasing the Scottish Wildlife Trust’s famous female osprey.
The osprey has been returning to Loch of the Lowes in Perthshire for an amazing 21 consecutive years and has regularly been producing chicks.
Footage of the osprey, affectionately known as the Lady of the Loch by fans worldwide, has been captured by the superb high definition camera installed in the bird’s nest.
Filmmaker Lisa Trainer has used this footage along with contemporary filming to produce a film, Lady of the Loch.
You can watch Lisa’s film below.
Click here to watch the webcam live from Loch of the Lowes. In summer this webcam will show live footage from the osprey’s nest. We, and the thousands of osprey fans around the world, hope that the Lady of the Loch will return again.
The webcams have been streamed live onto the web with generous support from People’s Postcode Lottery. The Scottish Wildlife Trust’s 3 wildlife webcams attracted over 3 million views this year alone. The Trust is currently seeking a sponsor to help cover the extra costs associated with the huge increase in visitor numbers.
