Reserves ramble

Come on an eight-mile walk around four wildlife reserves in Irvine. We will take in Gailes Marsh, Shewalton Sandpits, Oldhall Ponds and Shewalton Wood. Find out how we are managing and maintaining these important green spaces for wildlife and reserve users. Be prepared to walk 15km/8 miles. Bring a snack and something to drink. Please remember to dress for the weather and wear footwear for off-road walking.

Meet at Gailes Marsh Wildlife Reserve, Marine Drive, Irvine, KA11 5AE, grid reference NS324358.

Places on the walk are limited to a small group of 18 and therefore must be booked. Please contact Harry Richards on 07785 468 601 or hrichards@scottishwildlifetrust.org.uk for further information and to reserve your place. (It is also important that Harry is able to contact attendees should the walk have to be cancelled or to convey any changes to plan.)

Free event but donations welcome (suggested donation £2 per person). All donations help us to continue to bring an interesting and varied selection of events to our audience as well as supporting local wildlife causes. Please donate if you can.
