‘Heart of Scotland’ – Practical Conservation Day

Join the ranger team and our colleagues from the 'Heart of Scotland Forest Partnership' for a day of practical conservation work.

Get stuck into a day of bracken bashing to help the regeneration of wildflowers, tree saplings and other flora at the newly rewilded site of 'Garth Wood'. There will be the opportunity to learn all about the work that has been undertaken to help the recovery of native species and to also take an orchid and wildflower tour of the Scottish Wildlife Trust's neighbouring 'Balcroich Meadow'.

Outdoor clothing, sturdy footwear and a packed lunch are required. A toilet is available. Please be aware that the ground is uneven and we will be working on a hillside.

Note that parking is limited and we may need to arrange some car sharing to accommodate everyone. Meeting location and transport arrangements will be made in advance via email from the Perthshire Ranger.

The event is an adults only session.
