Linda Rosborough has been announced as the next Chair of the Trust’s governing Council. She will take on the role from Robin Harper following the Trust’s Annual General Meeting in September.
Linda retired as the Director of Marine Scotland in 2016. She has enjoyed a long career in the civil service, and has advised the House of Commons Environment Select Committee. She holds a PhD in environmental planning and is a keen walker, cyclist and canoeist.
Linda Rosborough said: “I’m proud to be joining a charity with such significant achievements and committed members, volunteers and staff. I intend to build on the legacy of Robin Harper, who has provided sound governance and excellent leadership since his appointment in 2014. This is an uncertain time for our natural environment, but I will ensure that the Trust continues to have a strong voice in helping to protect Scotland’s wildlife for future generations.”
Robin Harper added: “It is an honour and a privilege to serve as the Trust’s Chair of Council. I’m delighted to be passing on the reins to such an experienced and dedicated person later this year.”
