Join us to help co-design the British Sub Aqua Club’s new Snorkelling for All course, making snorkelling more accessible for people with disabilities while building skills and confidence in instructors to lead safe and fun snorkel sessions for all.
Do you care about equal access to nature? Can you share your useful insights, perhaps as:
- a Scottish watersports enthusiast/instructor?
- someone with experience in disability support/accessible outdoor activities?
- a person with a disability who can share lived experience?
We would love to 'sea' you there! We'll be meeting at Tarlair Cafe, a community-led hub which has been lovingly restored by the Friends of Tarlair. The cafe is also situated right next to a snorkel site on the Moray Firth snorkel trail!
In the morning, we'll do some workshopping together in the cafe. After a comfort break for drinks and refreshments, we'll use the early afternoon to do some activities outside, which for those interested could include some snorkelling (*please note that outdoor activities, including snorkelling, will be dependant upon good weather and conditions).
Important details:
This event is open to everyone and free to attend.
We aim to host inclusive events that all can enjoy taking part in. To discuss accessibility requirements further, don't hesitate to get in touch with Elouise Dalziel, Marine Policy Inclusion Officer (edalziel@scottishwildlifetrust.org.uk)
