Scottish Charity of the Year Award – every vote helps!

Just to add to the great 50th anniversary year that we’re having, the Scottish Wildlife Trust has been nominated for SCVO’s prestigious Charity of the Year Award.

Aside from all the work we do here at Montrose Basin , the Trust has achieved a great amount over the last year. With the help of around 100 members of staff, 1,000 volunteers and the backing of 35,000 members we have been able to run a successful campaign to ban three pesticides harmful to bees; conclude the groundbreaking Scottish Beaver Trial in Knapdale; organise a global conference on the rapidly emerging topic of natural capital; and lead one of Europe’s largest landscape regeneration projects – the Coigach – Assynt Living Landscape.

With a number of big events planned to mark our 50th Anniversary, 2014 promises to be a year to remember, and winning the Scottish Charity of the Year award would be the perfect way to celebrate.

So please take the time to vote for us, and remember every single vote counts. The closing date for voting is 5pm on Friday 9 May.
