There is a vacancy at Loch of the Lowes for a six-month paid work placement through the Community Jobs Scotland work scheme. The successful applicant will spend the majority of their time working in the visitor centre, meeting & greeting the public, taking money for admissions & shop sales, assisting with events & children’s activities and helping visitors to enjoy the wildlife experience on offer.
There will also be the opportunity to work along beside Emma the ranger, helping her to manage Loch of the Lowes & the other Perthshire reserves, and during April & May the chance to get involved with the Osprey Protection Watch.
If this sounds like the kind of broad conservation experience that you’re looking for and you are eligble to apply then speak to your advisor at your local Jobcentre now! The post is due to start in March so get your application in asap.
Please note: all applications must be made through the Jobcentre or Skills Development Scotland – we cannot accept direct applications. We can however provide further information about the role or Loch of the Lowes if you have any questions.
You can find more information about the Community Jobs Scotland scheme at http://www.scvo.org.uk/jobs-employability/cjs/
Good luck with your application
