Waders at the Montrose Basin

A series on wader id wouldn’t be complete without video footage of just some of the species you can see here at the Basin (we’ve also thrown in a few goosanders as well).

While low tide is the best time to see them, a rising tide does have the advantage of pushing many of the species close to the shore line at spots like Rossie Spit.  It was our camera based at Rossie Spit that captured this footage.
