Wildlife Diary Monday 26th August

Not too much to report on the Osprey front, both dad and our female chick are still here. Blue YZ took another step towards independence today when an intruder Osprey appeared. In the past she would’ve laid flat on the nest to blend in but today she was ‘up and at ’em’, standing her ground and shouting at them. They got the hint and moved on. It looks like she’s going to be a force to be reckoned with, a bit like another female Osprey we all know…

We’ve been getting Jays visiting our feeders in the last couple of days so we managed to get some photos of these beautiful birds as they came in.
