Satellite Tracking Update Monday 19th August

Interesting things afoot.  Blue YZ has taken her longest flight yet, a good 3km over to a high point on the Snaigow Estate. She’s also been in the opposite direction up to the hill behind the nest to an area known locally as ‘The Glack’. She’ls also been doing lots of short flights, really practicing for that long migration ahead.

A change, well sort of, for Blue YD over in Senegal, he’s moved from his prime site on the coast back to the bend on river where he spent the winter. It’s possible he’s been displaced by a returning adult Osprey but it could also be a response to the change in weather as its now the rainy season.

And finally a ‘hello’ to Joyce from Ontario one of our newest and, at the grand age of 93, we think is our oldest Osprey follower. We received a lovely email from her today saying how much she’s enjoyed the Osprey antics this year.
