Webcam update and Osprey update Sunday 14th April

by Lindsey, Wildlife Interpretation Officer

Morning everyone

We’ve switched the webcam back over to night cam for now as the day cam screen is completely covered with rain whereas the night cam screen is clearer. We’re very sorry to hear some people are still having problems with the live streaming and our team at head office are working on getting it sorted. We’re as frustrated as you as we want everyone to enjoy seeing the birds.

I thought I’d give you an update from this morning. There have been several mating attempts, some successful and both birds have been coming in and out of the nest regularly. There was a fish delivery at 07:17am, lovely trout from the look of it and there was an intruder female flying around, perhaps the same one as before? It’s very difficult to tell when they’re in flight although our male is an exception as he’s quite easy to identify  because of his unusually long and dark wingtips.
