Webcam & streaming problems

As you will have no doubt seen we have been experiencing intermittent transmission problems with both the HD & night cameras, hence the switching between the two that has been taking place today. We have requested a site visit from our camera maintenance contractor to troubleshoot these problems. Please bear with us in the meantime.

We are aware that some people are still experiencing problems accessing the webcams since the streaming provider switched over last week. Due to the volume of emails being received at the moment to ospreys@swt.org.uk we can’t respond to each individually. However we will post suggested solutions on the blog as and when we receive any from our IT department.

As referred to in previous posts, ensuring that your computer’s web browser software is up-to-date is a good starting point. Below are links to download the latest versions of the most commonly used web browsers. Simply click on them and follow the on-screen instructions.

Google Chrome: http://www.google.co.uk/chrome/intl/en-GB/landing_tv.html

Mozilla Firefox: http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/new/

Internet Explorer: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-GB/internet-explorer/download-ie

We would recommend using either Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox as they will prompt you to update when a newer version of the software becomes available.

Lindsey will bring you the latest osprey news later.
