A Second Egg!

Our marvelous ospreys have done it again- very early this morning a second egg was laid- our females 66th! A cause for further celebrations here as our chances of having osprey chicks this season just doubled!

Our night watch team on duty noticed her fidgeting and straining between 1am and 1.30am, but it wasn’t until first light we were able to get a good clear view and confirm the presence of two eggs in the nest.

More news as the days goes on.
