Migration Updates: 29th September 2012

Blue 44 is still happily fishing at the same lake in the south of France. We have plotted some of his recent activity on the map but you will need to zoom in very close to see his short flights. His behaviour seems to be the same as it was here: mostly roosting! He is getting in plenty of practice fishing for himself and is maybe storing up lots of energy for his next leg of the journey? Only time will tell!

Blue YD on the other hand, has been soaring over the deserts of Mauritania. This is a very dangerous route and he has been roosting among sand dunes overnight. Oases are few and far between!

Not a lot of water here!
