Missing Chick: Afternoon Update

The search for Blue 44 continues. We’ve been using the satellite data to do a more detailed and focused search but there’s still no sign of him. Emma has just left to lead the third search of the day. The terrain is both difficult and dangerous, she fell down a hole in a swamp earlier, and the weather is making it harder so it’s a slow process. We are doing everything we can to find him and check how he’s progressing.

I’d like to take this chance to say huge thank you to our volunteers who’ve rallied to the cause and have been helping with everything from going out in the search party, helping out in the Visitor Centre to making cups of tea for the cold and wet searchers. We’d all also like to thank people for their support and carry on helping us by continuing to be patient until we have more to say.
