New Volunteer Open Day

Don’t forget that this Saturday we are hosting a New Volunteer Open Day at Loch of the Lowes. This is an ideal chance to come along and find out how to get involved here with the Scottish Wildlife Trust in Perthshire.  Our charity values its volunteers very highly and a huge amount of our broad conservation work relies on their energy, help and dedication.

There are several different volunteer roles, and there is sure to be something that suits you tastes and skills. Most of the time commitments are very flexible and there isn’t a minimum requirement.

  • Do you love talking to people and sharing your enthusiasm about wildlife: why not volunteer in our Visitors centre?
  • Are you fascinated by Ospreys and fancy spending a few hours watching and recording their behaviour? Why not get involved with the annual Osprey Nest Protection Watch?
  • Do you want to help educate the next generation about nature and don’t mind playing silly games and colouring in? Why not get involved with our Education program?
  • Are you the type who like to get their hands dirty doing practical tasks? Why not get involved with our weekly Conservation Volunteer Work days on all five of our Perthshire reserves?

Drop in to Loch of the Lowes anytime this Saturday the 3rd March to find out more- there will be staff and experienced volunteers on hand to answer all your questions and help you choose what you’d like to get involved in.

Entry is free this Saturday to prospective volunteers.
