This has been compiled from our in house literature and the many wonderful questions we have received over the last few years from visitors, bloggers and supporters. We hope you will find it interesting and helpful, and that it gives you more background to the amazing lives of these wonderful birds. Whether or not you are an experienced Osprey watcher or new to it all, we hope you will find something of interest. There are sections on Osprey Biology and Behavior,UK Osprey History, Ospreys at Loch of the Lowes, and Satellite tracking etc.
These FAQ’s were written by Emma Rawling, Perthshire Ranger, who has been working with ospreys in Scotlandfor more than six years, at a variety of sites. Information herein is from a range of sources, but with very special thanks to: Roy Dennis of Highland Foundation for Wildlife, Diane Bennet of Tweed Valley Osprey Project and Valerie James. Thanks to all the volunteers who gave feedback and to all the bloggers and webcam viewers who got in touch with osprey questions.
