Loch of the Lowes Wildlife Blog 20th December

Greetings from a chilly Loch of the Lowes,

Well we’re well and truly back in a winter wonderland once again here this morning.

There’s snow everywhere you look and the temperature is about -5 degrees outside – not a day to be outdoors!

Had a lovely view of a jay taking peanuts from a box feeder as I did the bird count.

Other highlights include 60+ chaffinches, a couple of siskins, a pair of great spotted woodpeckers and six blackbirds.

Stay warm,

Jonathan
