Loch of the Lowes info 11 November 2010

Hi All

Back to the wet and windy.

Guess who I saw last night. Yes you are correct, I saw a pine marten. But the thing is he/she was not at the feeders, it was at another site we have cameras at which I can’t show you (Nuphar will know where) unfortunately. So I have a theory about why our little furry friend has not showed and its all to do with the weather and water levels. Remember we managed to capture that other pine marten on our camera jumping on to a tree which was over water. Have we all wound back the clock to the 17 October and I said it was a different marten because the level of water is so high then.  What if our little one has gotten himself suck round there because the level of the loch is high because of all the rain recently.   Have you lost me yet or am I making sense?  One other was captured on camera last night for a fraction of a second and that was a tawny owl at the feeders.
