Loch of the Lowes Info 30th Sept

The rain eventually stopped last night and allowed the wildlife to come out to feast.

Hungry hedgehog was in full flow, sniffing out every morsel he could find.
A lonesome deer was joined by our regular resident, Mr One spot, at 7.55pm but the both spooked each other for a while, before returning to the more important task at hand. Eating! The young deer brought his mum for back up and they had a good sniff about Piney’s table but he wasn’t for sharing his meal. He leaped from the tray at 8.02pm and ran off, but returned a little later at 8.33pm for 5 mins before heading off into the wilds. He returned again at 1.27am for a couple off minutes to have a late supper before finally disappearing for the night. It’s the most frequent he has visited in one night for quite some time, probably due to the weather and being very hungry.
No sign of Pine marten number 2 again, but lets hope it wasn’t a one off and it returns again sometime soon.
