About the conference
The first ever National Ecological Networks Conference was a great success, with nearly 200 visitors from all over the globe in attendance. Delegates heard from academics and researchers in the environmental, architectural and policy sectors, including major figures in the IUCN, the European Commission and SEPA.

The Scottish Wildlife Trust is working hard to implement a National Ecological Network in Scotland. The Trust and the RSPB Scotland have submitted a proposal for a National Ecological Network to be included as National Development in National Planning Framework 3.
