About the Edinburgh group

The Edinburgh Wildlife Watch group arranges a variety of fun activities and events for children aged 5 to 10. From nature trails to scavenger hunts, arts and crafts to fungal forays, there are loads of cool ways to get closer to wildlife in your area.

28 August 2016 10:00 - 12:00   Go Wild with a Ranger! Meet at - Holyrood Park Ranger Centre

Meet the Holyrood park rangers and find out about the wildlife in the park and how they look after it

 

25 September 2016 19:00 - 20:00  Bats and their Boxes!

Bonkers for bats? Join us for an evening bat walk in Holyrood Park. We will take our bat detectors and see if we can spot some furry flying mammals.

 

30 October 2016 15:00 - 17:00  Halloween at Bawsinch! Meet at - Bawsinch Nature Reserve

Meet at – Bawsinch nature reserve - green metal gates. Come visit the Bawsinch Nature Reserve to learn about the creepy crawlies, birds and mammals that live there. Wear your favourite costume and play some spooky games in the woods!

 

20 November 2016 10:00 - 12:00  Cool Sea Explorers! Meet at - Holyrood Park Ranger Centre

Join us to learn all about Scotland's seas and important ways we can look after and protect them. Featuring special guests from the Marine Conservation Society!

 

18 December 2016 10:00 - 12:00  Nature Noel! Meet at - Holyrood Park Ranger Centre

Join us at Holyrood to make some festive crafts! Willow wreaths and fun christmas crackers! There will some fun games too!

 

 

Based in Holyrood Park for 5 – 10 year olds. We usually meet at Holyrood Park Education Centre on the last Sunday of every month from 10am – 12noon.  Most sessions are £2 unless oherwise stated.   If you would like your child to attend a session please email or call or text 07526 708993
