Pepper Wood

Situated one mile north-east of Kirkliston, north of Edinburgh Aiport, Pepper Wood is a small area of broadleaved woodland which includes ash, oak and wych elm with a varied ground flora including some species that were introduced by a previous owner in the 19th century.

Directions

From Kirkliston, take the minor road north-east towards Carlowrie Farm. Take the right turn towards Wheatlands and you will find Pepper Wood on the left, just after the road goes under the disused railway. There is a small layby for parking on the left.

Getting onto the reserve

From the layby, you can access the reserve via a stile.
