News: Celebrate St Andrew's Day at our Visitor Centres

21st November 2011

With free entry into these wildlife havens for the weekend of 26th and 27th November, come and celebrate St Andrew by looking out for some other Scottish icons.

The red squirrel is a regular visitor, just metres from the window at Loch of the Lowes. We think it’s the best place to see red squirrels in the UK.

Otters and badgers are amongst the wildlife that complements the majestic Falls of Clyde. This weekend may be the last chance to see the beautiful autumn colours on the trees in the gorge.

Use the high-powered binoculars at Montrose Basin to see seals basking in the estuary, along with wildfowl and wader birds.

The Scottish Wildlife Trust Visitor Centres normally cost between £2 and £4.50 for an adult and between £1 and £3 for concessions, but are free all year round for Scottish Wildlife Trust members.
